ok fine a real update

Bullet format, I think.

• Trying to do work on essays for NSF graduate research fellowship. For some reason this is not flowing easily. I miss my coffee maker :p

• Finally got my corpus for the summer put together. My computer isn't fast enough to process it though :-/ I'll try using one of the lab computers tomorrow to see if that works. I'd do it on another machine over the internet but praat will not run without x11 forwarding, meaning it has to send over GUI info as well. Hopefully I can use the fast computers in the ling dept. lab

• lectures here are all great ^_^ it's good to know that I can leave OSU and still understand comp. ling.

• today was the euro cup. two of my roommates are european originally and another guy we've been hanging out with is from the czech republic. Mostly it made me anxious for football season to start up ;)

• but i'm excited to get back to columbus too

so as I was going to the Kuhn honors and scholars house this morning, I was listening to my ipod. Right when I stepped onto the oval, the sun came out from behind a cloud and it randomly selected ``concerning hobbits'' from the lord of the rings.
